​Vision:

​Have 2016 people become part of my team as I sail towards Rio 2016 (2016 FOR 2016). Each person who donates $25 or more will have their name printed on one of my sails, along with the other 2000+, to create a collage of inspiration. I will then use this sail training on the days leading up to the PanAm and Olympic Games.

​Reason for this initiaive:

An obvious answer is the benefits from the revenue generated. The money from the fundraising will help offset costs of my campaign, and allow me to spend more time on the water everyday training and preparing for the Olympics. However, this is not the only reason. I wanted to start this initiative to bring my campaign closer to my family, friends and the public. I want to share this adventure with all of you through blog posts, newsletters, pictures, videos, tweets etc. Most importantly the one piece to bring us all togeher - the 2016 FOR 2016 sail. I envision looking up at a white sail covered with 2000+ names and a big maple leaf, and feel that extra push of motivation to get me to the Olympic Games!
